Renea Caneday M.A.

I have a Masters in Linguistics from the University of North Dakota. I started my career teaching K-6 grade English learners in the public schools. For the past 13 years, I have trained and supervised teachers and have developed and implemented content-based curriculum for adult learners of English. I am currently teaching young adult immigrants and refugees at an early college credit recovery program in Anoka, Minnesota. My professional interests also include language assessment and ESL/EFL program models. I have served as an IELTS language examiner for the past 8 years.

At North Central University, I look forward to sharing my knowledge and experience with new groups of students. I am excited to have an online TEFL certificate program to encourage students in teaching language and culture in the classrooms.

In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, baking, and hiking. I also enjoy reflective journaling on what the Lord has been teaching me in how to live more intentionally and how to serve Him and others around me.
