Classroom Experience That Matters

Because we do what we do with active learning, our graduates are getting a ton more experience early on, which leads to greater internship opportunities, and ultimately greater career choices. Due to our smaller campus size, every student is seen (not lost in a crowd) and provided the chance to make awesome connections.

Every professor brings exceptional business experience to the classroom. In addition to having wildly successful careers prior to teaching, our business professors are still actively engaged in the real world as consultants or business owners. This makes a huge difference in what is taught in NCU business classrooms.

Program Highlights

Real World Projects

Work with real businesses as part of your classes in the Accounting & Finance major. Build connections with top leaders from respected companies through the Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Our network offers students premier opportunities for jobs, internships, seminars, and on-site training. You will enhance skills that will enable you to manage budgets, build connections, and prepare for a career in accounting.

Prepare for the CPA Exam

Accounting classes offer valuable learning opportunities such as investing simulations. Students will also be investing with real money that has real consequences. Wrestling through how the variable of real risk impacts investment decisions makes for a more robust Finance graduate. Students can choose to take additional undergrad classes to complete 150 credits to be licensed as a CPA.

Degree Plus (+)

We offer supporting programs to prepare you with the skills employers need. All business majors take a project management course and have the option of completing a proficiency exam to earn your Project Management Certification from the world-class Project Management Institute.

Kayden smiles for the camera

I think that the best part of the Accounting program here at NCU is the amount of experience at esteemed public accounting firms that our faculty, and the adjuncts, have. The ability to learn and be around them has allowed me to really grow in my accounting knowledge.
