About:

I was born and raised in Kenosha, Wisconsin (Go Pack Go!), where music was a big part of my life from an early age. My family has been involved at Kenosha First Assembly of God (now Journey Church) since 1984, and I began to lead musical worship and serve on worship teams as early as 8th grade. I attended NCU from 1997-2002, during which time I earned a degree in music and had an incredible formative educational experience. My wife Justine and I were married shortly after I graduated in 2002 and we began our vocational ministry together at Calvary Assembly (in Orlando, FL.) in early 2004. Since that time we have been leading worship together and raising our family to do the same. We currently serve in worship ministry at New Life Church in Princeton, MN where we have been on staff since late 2009.

In 2011 I began my graduate education, earning both a Masters and Doctorate in the field of Worship Studies by 2017. I began teaching at NCU in 2015 shortly before completing my doctoral work. Serving at NCU has been one of the joys of my life, and I look forward to every opportunity I have to work with our amazing students.
