Update:

Over the last summer, God brought about a massive life, career, and location change. Doors closed in ministries I had been involved with in August of 2021, which sent me into a season of prayer, preparation, and seeking the Lord’s will for what was to come. Everything became clear when I embarked on a trip to visit a friend who moved out to Alaska with the military. My focus for the trip was to spend more focused time in prayer while resting from a season of working seven days a week, reconnect with my long-time friend, write, and hike. The day before leaving, I expressed to a mentor, “If God comes in and completely changes all my plans, I’d be cool with that.”

I arrived in Anchorage in June, and God allowed me two weeks of prayer, rest, writing, connecting, and hiking before He shifted my focus to talk with the Lead Pastor of Unite. The press and direction was so clear in my spirit that I knew I had to obey; my own understand aside, I made the step to talk with the pastor. From that moment until the end of my trip, I was whisked into partnering in ministry with this group of Spirit filled individuals. It was thrilling, refreshing in a way I hadn’t know possible, and fulfilling in all the ways I had been seeking over the last season of transition! When I prepard to fly home, I realized it felt like I was leaving home to go elsewhere for a time rather than leaving an unknown place to travel home.

Since summer’s end, I have packed up what I could fit into the back of my jeep, and driven up to relocate in Anchorage, AK. I am now on staff with Unite Church serving as the Student Ministries Coordinator, while also partnering with the Kingdom Alliance Network leading worship sessions monthly. The staff has been a joy to work alongside in ministry while we get to know each other more. God has been so faithful through this entire journey, and continues to guide my steps toward the relationships and mentorships He has prepared for me in this season of life.

God is so good all the time. A reminder he gave me through this entire experience was that he is Yahweh Yireh (the Lord who sees/provides) in every circumstance.
