Embracing Change: Honoring Departures and Welcoming New Opportunities on Campus

As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of academia, we often find ourselves bidding farewell to cherished colleagues who have contributed immensely to our community. While their departure may leave a void, we’re filled with gratitude for the time, dedication, and passion they’ve invested in shaping our institution. With a mix of sadness and excitement, we announce three significant employee transitions at North Central University, each marking the end of a chapter and the beginning of new opportunities.

Jeremy Williamson: A Legacy of Student Advocacy

Jeremy Williamson ‘09, has been an integral part of the North Central family, wearing various hats with unwavering dedication. From his roles as Resident Director to Associate Registrar, and finally, as the Dean of Students and Associate Vice President, Jeremy has left an indelible mark on our campus community. Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeremy’s steadfast commitment to student well-being and safety stood as a beacon of strength. His departure in early May will undoubtedly be felt across our halls, yet we’re confident that his legacy of student advocacy will continue to inspire us.

As we bid farewell to Jeremy, we look toward the future with the assurance that the next leader for this area has already been appointed by the Lord. The search for a new Dean of Students is underway, offering an opportunity for a visionary leader to join our ranks.

Devin Lehnhoff: Leading with Passion and Purpose

For Devin Lehnhoff ‘14, North Central has been more than just a workplace; it’s been a platform for professional growth and excellence. Devin has worn many hats, from Admissions Counselor to Executive Director of Admissions, and most recently as Head Baseball Coach and Executive Director of Athletics. His leadership, particularly in nurturing our student-athletes and continually guiding his teams towards excellence, has left an indelible impact on our campus culture. As Devin transitions away from his role in early April, we extend our deepest gratitude for his contributions and wish him well in his future endeavors.

In Devin’s absence, we embark on a search for a new Director of Athletics, Recreation, and Wellness. This role presents a unique opportunity for a dynamic leader to shape the future of our athletic programs.

Mike Woods: Pioneering Safety and Security

Under the stewardship of Mike Woods ‘17, our Director of Safety and Emergency Management, North Central has made significant strides in ensuring the well-being of our campus community. Mike’s innovative approach and commitment to collaboration have transformed our safety protocols, making them more accessible and responsive to the needs of our community. While we’ll miss his leadership, we’re thrilled that Mike is pursuing his dream career after his time at NCU comes to an end.

As Mike transitions into this new chapter, we begin the search for a successor to lead our Safety and Emergency Management efforts. This role presents an opportunity for a dedicated leader to build upon Mike’s foundation and further enhance campus safety.

While change may bring moments of uncertainty, it also opens doors to new possibilities, all orchestrated by a divine plan. As a community, we embrace these transitions with gratitude for the past and optimism for the future, trusting in God’s providence and knowing that the best is yet to come.
