President Scott Hagan, Ph.D., announced today that Tim Hager, D.Min., has accepted the invitation to serve as Vice President of Business & Operations at North Central University. Hager will be providing executive oversight to several areas, including finance and accounting, human resources, facilities management, housekeeping, facility events, information technology, media services, and food services. Hager’s selection for this role followed a national search facilitated by the Dingman Company.
“The Vice President of Business and Operations will play a pivotal role at North Central as we steer through this next decade,” Hagan said. “Dr. Hager will be an excellent addition to the Senior Leadership Team. He is a proven administrator who leads with integrity and wisdom and has a track record of strengthening each organization he’s served.”
Dr. Hager has successfully led organizations and people for more than 30 years and comes to North Central from his most recent role at Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS) in Springfield, Missouri, where he served for the past four years as Vice President and Dean. Before that, Hager served two years as the Chief Operating Officer for the National Leadership and Resource Center for the Assemblies of God and seven years as administrator of field operations for Assemblies of God U.S. Missions (AGUSM).
Hager’s former supervisor, Zollie Smith, Former Executive Director at U.S. Missions, stated, “Dr. Tim Hager is a dedicated Christ follower who naturally portrays unity and teamwork. He is both kindhearted and committed to accomplishing the designated challenges set before him, for the good of the organization. The giftedness of Dr. Hager will make him a vital asset to the growth and future successes of North Central University.”
Hager is the founder of Summit Leadership Group, LLC, a consulting firm for nonprofit, faith-based, and for-profit organizations in the areas of organizational and leadership development, employee engagement, and team performance. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Evangel University, Northwest University, and Asia Pacific Theological Seminary.
Over the course of his career, Hager has led project teams in the U.S., Panama, Argentina, Thailand, and Korea, and has served in pastoral and AG district roles in Colorado, Iowa, North Carolina, and Virginia. He holds advanced ministry degrees (D.Min. and M.Div.) from AGTS.
George Wood, Former General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God, worked with Hager in a variety of capacities. Wood said, “Dr. Tim Hagar is a wonderful administrator, cares well for people, builds networks of relationships, and lives a life worthy of imitation.”
Thrilled to be joining the team at NCU, Hager said, “You can’t help but be drawn to the vision of President Hagan. God’s hand is on NCU. High-impact kingdom leaders in the church and other professions are making a difference around the world. After meeting the incredible administrative leadership, faculty, and staff, I know God is at work and He has exciting days ahead for the University. I am excited to be a part and contribute.”
Hager and his wife, Lynn, have four grown children, three of whom are married. The Hagers also have three grandchildren, with one more on the way.
Hager will begin his new role at North Central University later this summer.
